Yiannis Katsaris is a Greek photographer based in London. After finishing his BA in Photography in TEI of Athens, Greece, he moved to Italy where he spent two years working in advertising. In 2005 he moved to London to complete his MA in Photographic Journalism in the university of Westminster on a Greek state scholarship. His work is always about people with an emphasis in portraiture, social documentary and theatre. Yiannis works regularly with UK and Greek publications and theatre companies.
His work has appeared in publications such as Evenining Standard, Time Out, Wired, Insurance Times, Scan Magazine, Bizzare Magazine, Glass Magazine, IS Magazine, SOUL, Highlights, Epsilon, Epiloges and Vimagkazino. Other collaborations include the Greek Embassy in London, Foolish People theatre group, the Theatre Lab Company and MUSARC at the Metropolitan University. Production companies Red Sparrow, 10am Ltd and Endemol UK.
