Born in Athens. While studying photography at the Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I) in Athens, Yiannis did his first documentary assignment on the environmental disaster caused by the shipwreck of the oil tanker Prestige on the coast of Northern Spain. He moved to Italy in 2003 to join the Astrazioni Fotografia advertising studio in Pisa where he was working in fashion, lifestyle, interiors and still-life photography. Yiannis moved to London in 2005 to attend a Masters in Photographic Journalism at the University of Westminster. Currently he lives and works in London.
